How do you feed a banana to a cat?

Bear’s blood work is back — she has low levels of potassium, which, evidently, is what makes her a little less active than usual.

There are two solutions: a gel that she’d have to eat/take/mess with twice a day, or a once-a-day pill. Who are these people who gel their pets? Bear would have to take 1/2 teaspoon … twice a day. That’s crazy.

Bear and I have become used to the pill routine; I’m sure I will soon be sporting fresh claw marks.

  1. i have an amazingly trusting cat. he lets me trim his nails (with a people clipper!), clean out his ears, brush him and even poke stuff like medicine droppers into his mouth with relatively little fuss. want me to stop by?
