Two St. Louis-based Twitter accounts have popped up within the past two days promising to give away cash.
Modeled after northern California’s @HiddenCash scavenger hunt, a story that recently was picked up by major news outlets, both @HiddenCashSTL and @HiddenCash314 promise to tweet clues to find envelopes of cash hidden in the city. Both accounts promised to tweet clues today; @HiddenCash314 struck first, tweeting its first hint at 12:25 p.m.

@HiddenCashSTL, the older of the two accounts, tweeted that the cash it hides will be hidden by followers.
