My birthday wish

Today is my birthday. Please, there’s no need to sing. All I really want is for you to help Overheard in the Newsroom win Mashable’s Open Web Award in the “best site for journalists” category.

I know some of you are journalists; you’ll love Overheard in the Newsroom. (Even if you aren’t a journalist, I think you’ll find something amusing there. Or at least will understand the nonsense journalists must deal with every day.)

OHnewsroom (everything needs an abbreviation) is a project my friend Kevin started almost a year ago. It’s a collection of the best quotes heard in newsrooms around the world. So to be one of the five finalists in Mashable’s contest, and have thousands of followers on Twitter and Facebook is quite an accomplishment.
