For the second year, the Opera Theatre of St. Louis sponsored “tweet seats” — they actually encourage people to tweet from the opera. It’s a one-night-only, back-of-the-theater type of set-up, but it’s still a lot of fun. So here’s a recap of Wednesday’s performance of “The Magic Flute.”
I'll be live tweeting @OTSL's #MagicFlute tonight. First warning, in case you hate opera, flutes or magic. #otslflute
— Erica Smith (@ericasmith) May 28, 2014
If you wanna follow what others are saying about @OTSL's #MagicFlute too, follow #otslflute. The fun formally starts at 8 p.m.
— Erica Smith (@ericasmith) May 29, 2014
(Yes, sometimes there's a formal start to fun.)

A non-tweeting couple in our row declined an offered upgrade, and thought "tweet seats" meant we'd be part of the show. Adorable. #otslflute
— Erica Smith (@ericasmith) May 29, 2014
Contrary to a couples thought next to us, live tweeting during the show will not included us making bird noise. #otslflute
