Lindenwood U. student crowned Miss Missouri

Lindenwood University grad student Jessica Hartman was crowned Miss Missouri on Saturday night in Mexico, Mo.

Hartman will receive a $10,000 scholarship and will compete in September’s Miss America pageant in Atlantic City.

She graduated from Lindenwood University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, and is pursing a master’s degree in communication.

Hartman, 23, is no stranger to a tiara: She was crowned Miss Colorado USA in 2010, was third runner-up at Miss USA 2010, and was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2011.

The other finalists were: Jeni Dixon, Miss Branson, first runner-up; Kelby Czerwonka, Miss Joplin, second runner-up; Mary Bauer, Miss Gateway St. Louis, third runner-up; and Jennifer Zweifel, Miss Northwest, fourth runner-up.
