Boathouse reopens March 31

The Boathouse restaurant at Forest Park will reopen its lakeside bar on March 31.

Firefighters extinguished a roof fire at the St. Louis landmark on Jan. 29. Reconstruction started a month later, and the restaurant has posted several photos of the process on its Facebook page.

Restaurant explosion vs. TV shows

Several fans of “The Bachelor,” “New Girl” and “NCIS” were upset when Kansas City stations interrupted the shows for breaking coverage of an explosion at Country Club Plaza. At least 14 people were hospitalized; at least one person died in the blast.
