He was hanging out with Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel and Cardinals GM John Mozeliak at the Thompson Center for Autism‘s annual gala Thursday night at Hilton St. Louis Frontenac.

Yes, there’s a dodgeball tourney on WashAve

It’s true: People are playing dodgeball on Washington Avenue between 13th and 14th streets. It’s a fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation.

Technically, it’s not, but the street is blocked off, with fencing to keep spectators out of harm’s way.

Watch out: Blues defenseman Ian Cole may be in the area yelling quotes from an appropriately named movie.

Washington Avenue also will be closed over the weekend for Cinco de Mayo festivities.

Color Run paints St. Louis ‘happy’

Hundreds of runners participated in Saturday’s Color Run, a 5K “paint race” that raise money for the St. Louis chapter of Autism Speaks.

Known as the Happy Race, runners are showered with colored powder at stations along the route of the untimed race.

Several runners shared photos on Twitter and Instagram. Here’s a look at the brightly colored results.
