Sometimes it’s nice to step back and take a look at our community. Here are nine photos shared on Instagram within the past 24 hours that epitomize St. Louis.

‘Fly Me Away’

I love this commercial. But I don’t want a Kindle.

The ad was actually part of a contest.

The song is “Fly Me Away” by Annie Little. I love it. The full version will soon be available from Amazon. (Annie is also on Twitter: @annielittle.)

There’s a song for that

Music is magic. It can set a mood, change a mood or break a mood. Which brings me to my brilliant idea of the day.

A soundtrack for your life.

I want a website that builds a soundtrack. Crappy day at work? There’s a song for that. Dog ran away? Fired? Made a delicious cake? There’s a song for that. In love? In like? In jail? There’s a song for that!

This (free!) website of my dreams would suggest and play the appropriate song, let people vote on how well it fits the mood, and offer links to buy the song. It would also keep a list of the approved songs so you really could put together a soundtrack for your life.

If you create this website, let me know — I want to sign up.
