Free doughnuts on Inauguration Day!

I haven’t blogged here much since my aunt tried to blackmail me. Good times.

See, the last time the family got together to try to clean out my grandmother’s house, I found a diary my great-grandmother had kept when my grandfather was born. It’s still at my grandmother’s house. For Christmas I wanted to get that diary and send it to my grandfather. I’m sure he’s seen it, but not for a very long time. I sent an e-mail to those who have the keys to grandma’s house, asking for permission: My mother, my uncle and my aunt. The first two were OK with the idea, my aunt said no without further explanation.

She sent me an e-mail a week later, saying she was “displeased” with my blogs. If I agreed to “delete or take down all blogs” that mention her or any family members, I could go get the diary and send it to Granddad. I don’t know which posts or which blogs, but the diary is still at my grandmother’s.

So, to get back in the swing of things, a blog post about free food!

On Inauguration Day — Jan. 20 — Krispy Kreme is giving away doughnuts. They call it “an oath to tasty goodness.” That seems too sugary. But go to Krispy Kreme on Tuesday and get a free doughnut of your choice! Happy Inauguration Day!
