Poor Voltron. The fan-favorite almost made it through two days at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con when, during the costume contest, he met his greatest nemesis and tipped over.

Voltron originated in 1984 with the animated series “Voltron: Defender of the Universe” on KPLR (Channel 11).

The costume contest closed out Day 2 of the Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con. I shared photos of several of the 120 contestants on Twitter; these are some of the more creative costumes in an appropriately comic book-friendly format. The app used to create these images is called Halftone.
