Is #HockeyAtBusch possible?

#HockeyAtBusch, a year-old Twitter hashtag, gained traction again Monday night, trending in St. Louis. Fans tweeting the hashtag want just that: An outdoor St. Louis Blues hockey game at Busch Stadium.

It’s not unimaginable: In the past year, Busch has staged international soccer, college football and, of course, baseball.

Outdoor hockey games, including those at baseball stadiums, are not new either. The National Hockey League’s 2014 “stadium series” included games at Yankee Stadium and Dodger Stadium in January.

The St. Louis Blues have expressed interest in hosting the Winter Classic, which is traditionally played outdoors on New Year’s Day. The venue for the 2015 game has not been announced, but St. Louis is unlikely since the Washington Capitals are the home team.

The Blues have not yet played an outdoor game.

This is why the Cardinals lost

We all know why the Cardinals lost to the Cubs on Monday night. We all know why the final score, 17-5, stung so much. And we all know it had nothing to do with the players on the field, the bullpen, the coach or even the weather.

Juan Pablo Galavis (who adds a trademark symbol to his name on Twitter — reason enough to despise him) starred in the latest season of “The Bachelor.” Fans didn’t care much for him there either.

Galavis isn’t a Cardinals fan, or even a Cubs fan.

Two days ago he was in Kansas City with girlfriend Nikki Ferrell, a Kansas City native, wearing a Royals T-shirt.

With some luck, Galavis and Ferrell will not be at Tuesday night’s game.
